Work Packages
MonoGutHealth will generate added value by proposing more sustainable ways to produce pork, chicken meat and eggs in an animal-friendly way.
This will be accomplished through the ESR projects in research WP1, WP2 & WP3, where the role of early life interventions on the health and development of the gastrointestinal tractThe part of the digestive system that consists of the stomach and intestines. will be exploited to reduce animal losses due to production diseases and consequently minimise veterinary interventions.
The objectives of WP4 are to provide ESRs of MonoGutHealth a high standard of training in core and advanced research skills necessary for their individual research projects and for their future careers in academia and/or industry, by providing a set of transferable skills and hands-on-training during their secondments to industry (for a total of 21.5 month across the 11 ESRs).
The objectives of WP5 are to effectively communicate the MonoGutHealth approach and key research results to the research community, relevant value chain stakeholders, policy makers and consumers, specifically of animal-based products.
WP6 will focus on an efficient and effective management of the MonoGutHealth ETN for ESR recruitment, research, local and network-wide training, secondments, interactions with academic and industry partners and financial matters.
